Wax Modelling for Bronze Casting

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced sculptor looking to explore bronze, this immersive wax modelling workshop will guide you through the essential processes used in preparing sculptural forms for bronze casting. Participants will create original wax sculptures while learning the technical and creative foundations of the lost wax casting method.

COURSE OVERVIEW

In this hands-on workshop, students will work directly with sculptural wax to design and model forms intended for bronze casting. Guided by an experienced tutor, you’ll explore form, texture, scale and structure while learning how wax translates into bronze through the traditional lost wax process.

Through demonstrations and guided practice, participants will develop a sculptural piece ready for mould-making and casting, while gaining an understanding of the complete bronze production journey.
